„YEAH, still alive“ is the exhibition following the show "BANG, you´re dead" (maxalot gallery Amsterdam) by Jennifer Skupin. The solo exhibition at the xhoch4 gallery (her first show in Germany) contains work of the Amsterdam show as well as new work. Her artwork appears playful but the intend is severe: appeal for peace, attemps to explain war and its fascination.
How desensitized are we to war, to the news coverage of it?

Do we have to personally suffer from agony and ruination to learn? Jennifer´s latest work breaks new ground and emphasises the estimation of life on an everyday level.

Jennifer Skupin (*1979) studied at the Münster University of Applied Sciences, developes conceptual art for any years now and works as art director at the renowned creative agency KesselsKramer. She lives in Amsterdam and spends a lot of time missing German bread.
