Based on the Annie E. Casey Foundation's report: Good Endings, New Beginnings, this session outlines steps that library leadership can take to ease the loss of a library director or other key library staff. This session provides a tool to assess your library's readiness and explores some resources to help improve your library's readiness within the next 6 months. We'll discuss the process of conducting a "desk audit" to learn all of the work and expertise contributed by a key member of your staff. And, we'll do a 5 minute Risk Assessment to get a snapshot of your library's risk for retirement losses. Recommended for library directors, managers, and boards.
