For my FMP (Final Media Project) of the BTEC course, my classmates and I were given a choice of video we could produce. I teamed with two good friends from another group, Paul Richardson and George Walsh, to create the production group Trinary Productions.
The college's marketing department were interested in the video and uploaded it to their own YouTube channel and promoted it across the various social media platforms that they use. Here's the description we gave them:
Students in their final year of the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production - Film and Television decided to stay close to home for their Final Media Project. With permission from Andy Wakeford of the Food Academy, they filmed a charity event that was entirely devised and run by second year Catering and Hospitality students. The dinner, in aid of Diabetes UK, was held at the college's Restaurant on Tuesday, 13th May 2014 and the resulting video will be used by the college to show prospective students the kind of practical experience that they will gain when studying at West Herts College.
