JWT AMSTERDAM 2012 / 2013
The world is becoming one big WiFi-zone. It’s available in restaurants, trains and airports. There’s even WiFi on Mount Everest. People are constantly online. Time for a break. So we created a Free No-WiFi Zone.
For creating the space of a No-Wifi Zone, we used a bench for people to sit on and enjoy their real break.
With keeping the look of its brand, we used the wood and classic look of the signage for giving the feeling of "Authentic" rather than "Digital" for its purpose.
In a radius of 5 meters, we blocked all signals so people could escape e-mails, updates, tags or likes. Instead, they could enjoy a good old newspaper or a book. Some even had a real conversation.
