Robert J. Illo, AIA, PE is principal architect and engineer for architecture + engineering innovations (a+ei) located in Mountville, near Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Mr. Illo holds an architectural license in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Massachusetts, Indiana, Ohio, Mississippi, Louisiana, New Hampshire and Texas. He holds licensure as a civil/structural engineer in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Indiana, Massachusetts, Ohio and Mississippi.
Mr. Illo has 25 years of experience in architecture, engineering, forensic evaluation and restoration services for residential, commercial, industrial and public property design. He has been called as an expert advisor and witness in numerous property safety and construction litigation cases, serving plaintiff’s council, defense council and insurance companies. He continues to provide accurate forensic evaluation and remediation measures in matters involving the built environment. Mr. Illo is a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, National Society of Professional Engineers, National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, as well as The American Institute of Architects. He holds a Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Drexel University.
