This is a photo and sound multimedia project I produced for a photography class at Syracuse University. The story is about an ice sculptor participating in a competition held before an outdoor minor league hockey game at the Syracuse baseball stadium.

I was shooting with a Nikon D3000 and the one generic wide-angle lens they issued me with it. I enjoyed working on this project (and the others in the class) because of the challenges presented by working only with that one lens. I haven't done a lot of still photography over the last few years and I feel I learned a lot from this course, especially when it comes to controlling the background of shots. The audio was recorded with a Marantz recorder and a hand-held shotgun mic with a dead cat fur cover (not sure what the official name for that thing is).
