Name Unknown is another of the Sid Davis films that was made to warn youth of the danger of strangers. This one runs a lot like Sid's Girls Beware. It is not a remake but has some deep similarities to it. The film starts out in the office of the Honorable William B. McKesson, a judge of the Los Angeles. He has a young girl and her parents with him as he tells the story of other girls to her along with the viewer. The first story tells of a teenage couple park in a make out spot when they are met by an armed robber. He proceeds to take their valuables and then locks the boy in the trunk of the car. While the fate of the girl is unknown, it is hinted at that she was raped. The second story he tells is about a teenage girl babysitting. She runs an ad in the local paper looking for jobs and a stranger comes to her door asking for her to baby sit for him. Turns out this guy is really a rapist and murderer he abducts the girl under false pretenses. Late a headline is shown saying a babysitter had been murdered, The third story is about two girls who meet two much older guys. The take a ride with them and agree to go out on a date with them. One of the girl's mother refuses to allow her to go so the other goes alone. Then one of the guys gets dropped off and the other takes the girl to a secluded area where he rapes her. It then goes back to the judge's chambers where he sentence the girl before him to three months in a detention home for her involvement in a robbery. He goes on to state that true American boys and girls would never do such foolish things. This film is a classic Sid Davis stranger danger film. Complete with scenes of rap and murder, which are the hallmark of almost all of Davis' stranger danger films. Apparently Sid Davis didn't really like children because he has one murdered in almost every one of these films. Also he doesn't like bow ties much either since ever murderer in a Sid Davis film wears one. So because we love Sid Davis films here at Two Broke Rednecks, we had to riff it. We find Sid Davis films so easy to riff. They almost riff themselves because they are so bad. So enjoy.
