This 1-minute video compiles time-lapse sequences I shot at the Table Mountain Star Party, July 24-26, 2014, held at the Eden Valley Guest Ranch in northern Washington state, near Oroville. About 300 amateur astronomers attended. For two sequences I used an eMotimo motion controller to pan across the observing field and follow the southern sky and Milky Way. I created two other clips from frames shot with a static camera and 14mm lens aimed north to capture the circumpolar stars rotating around Polaris. I rendered these frames both as a standard time-lapse and as a clip with accumulating frames to produce a "comet trails" effect. This clip cross-fades to a still frame created with Star Circle Academy's Advanced Stacker Actions for Photoshop. It was a great star party – many thanks to the organizers for the opportunity to attend and speak.
