Tyrone Byrd '73: Dartmouth College 2024 Alumni Award Winner

Tyrone Byrd ’73, after an injury-shortened time on the roster of the Green Bay Packers, went into corporate banking and then moved to the energy field. He worked at Texaco for a decade before founding his own oil and gas company, and today he is an energy industry consultant. As a Dartmouth volunteer, Tyrone has been an admissions ambassador, a

mentor, an active member of the Black Alumni of Dartmouth Association, and a member of the Alumni Council, including service as chair of the Nominating and Alumni Trustee Search Committee.
