Since the concept Jet engine I built a few days ago, I started to work on animating this concept, and thus started doing some test with particles and various other effects that would be seen with real jet engines.
This video merely serves as a test run for the final animation with the Jet Engine, and in no way represents the final look of the effects and/or animation.
The current particle system used to create the distortion effects uses a small amount of particles (75k) to create the effect. Coupled together with the heat distortion, is another particle system using only 50 particles, that add fire embers that appear in the air. The last phase would be to add the jet blast once the jet engine enables its afterburner.
