In the spring, hillsides throughout the California Foothills are covered with Douglas Fir Trees. Their bright green tips are rich in Vitamin C. Alicia Funk of The Living Wild Project uses local Douglas Fir Tips to prepare delicious recipes including a Douglas-Fir Probiotic Soda. Other recipes include a Fir Tip Sorbet (Vegan).
About: The Living Wild Project offers educational resources and natural products that deepen our relationship to the native landscape we inhabit. Our hope is to shift the way we eat, garden, and heal by connecting to California’s heritage and future biodiversity.
