Keith Ward: "Is Science the Only Sure Path to Truth" part of “The Big Questions in Science and Religion,” a series of lectures.

This lecture was presented at the Lutheran Theological Seminary and co-hosted by the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College.

Dr. Keith Ward, Metanexus Institute Senior Fellow 2008-2009, delivered “The Big Questions in Science and Religion,” a series of lectures on the depth, difficulty, and importance of the greatest intellectual and existential questions of the modern scientific age. Ward, an ordained priest in the Church of England, spoke in the Philadelphia area November 12-16, 2008 and March 16-21, 2009.

About The Big Questions in Science and Religion: Based on his recent book, The Big Questions in Science and Religion, Ward’s talk, considers concepts from Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, Islam, Hinduism, Judaism, and Christianity, alongside the speculations of cosmologists, physicians, mathematicians, and philosophers. Whether considering the role of religious experience as evidence of a nonphysical reality or weighing the value of spiritual practice in an age of science, Ward has fascinating insight into the often-contentious relationship between diverse religious views and new scientific knowledge.
