A woman is having troubles with her perception of the world and herself. People and objects seem to threaten her, although there is no real menace. Over and over again, she tries to escape her reality. But the things around her, and even herself, feel more and more alien to her. Thus, she goes on trying to find new ways to escape.
Alienation (made in 2014, dt. Entfremdung) is a short movie which I made in the context of the English literature seminar "Critical Media Studies" hold by Professor Greta Olson at the Justus-Liebig-University Gießen. With this movie I tested filmic techniques which shall enable the viewer to see, hear, and understand the subjective perspective of a movie character on her world.
