This video provides student insight into what an actual course is like when doing vocational training (VET) during school. It includes information about: how to find out about the course, a typical training day, practical activities and theory components, challenges and how they may have been overcome, impact on SACE, pathways to further education, training and work.
Indigenous students can participate in any program; however NASSSA offers specific courses for these students.
In Conservation and Land Management, students learn about land management and conservation issues in a variety of outdoor environments and are involved in hands on projects like trail maintenance, tree planting, weed control and plant and animal identification.
Through a certificate in General Construction, students may experience bricklaying, carpentry, plastering, plasterboard fixing and flushing, painting and decorating, concreting or plumbing.
