In 2013, Center for Pet Safety performed independent crash testing of safety harnesses to determine crashworthiness. 75# Crash Test Dog (No real dogs were used for testing.)

Does not meet performance requirements of CPS-001-014.01 Companion Animal Safety Harness Restraint System Standard.

Result: Deemed Not Optimal. Allowed test dog to launch risking secondary impact. Tether is not adjustable. Head Excursion Measurement (FMVSS 213) was exceeded for all sizes. Manufacturer opted out of test attendance.

Note: GoPro camera was attached to the test dog in an attempt to capture video. Test resultant footage was compared to an earlier crash test conducted on the Ruff Rider Harness (large). The addition of the camera did not impact the results of the test. Results were the identical.
