Abstract: Visualization of maps to explore relevant geographic regions is one of the common practices in spatial decision scenarios. However analyzing relevant regions with multidimensional criteria becomes nontrivial scenario in the conventional map space. In this work we present a novel method for spatial visualization of geographic regions captivating on the swarm intelligence. We exploit the particle swarm optimization (PSO) framework, where particles represent geographic regions which are moving in the map space to find relevant region with respect to user's criteria. We track the swarm movement on map surface to generate relevance heatmap, moreover we enable end users to visualize and explore the search process of PSO via Web interface.
