Nawfal Elias wrote a romantic monologue in the late fifties that Zakia Hamdan interpreted. The lyrics, in classical Arabic language, describe the laments of a person being betrayed by his/her beloved Sulayma. Who is Sulayma? And what is the essence of betrayal in the first place? In this contemporary clip with audio remastering the poetic images find a more dynamic undertone.
