HEIDI HILLMAN-POMPE LCPC, MA
Heidi Pompe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Missouri State University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Heidi began her career 15 years ago providing counseling for children and families in Metro Atlanta and rural Georgia. Over the course of her career, Heidi has held several administrative and management positions, while also staying active as a therapist. She worked for the State of Missouri conducting disability determination reviews before taking the responsibility of managing programs that provided emergency and counseling support for children and families in West- central Illinois. During this time, Heidi also worked as a clinical counselor in private practice and worked in the student counseling centers of Monmouth and Knox Colleges.
While Heidi took time out of the full-time workforce to raise her children, she continued periodic work providing crisis counseling, working for the Dunlap School District and volunteering in her community. Most recently, Heidi returned to community mental health by providing mental health education, suicide prevention, and crisis counseling in a variety of schools systems in Central Illinois.
Heidi brings a warm and casual style to her work as a professional counselor, where she focuses on conducting thorough assessments of her clients’ needs and empowering them toward practical and healthy solutions. While her clinical approach tends to blend family systems and solution-focused approaches, her clients know her as a supportive, caring and genuine therapist.
Heidi has dedicated her professional and personal life to supporting her family and her community. She is active in the Dunlap School District and all her children’s academic, athletic and fine-arts activities. In her free time, Heidi is a runner; and she enjoys reading and spending time at home with her family.
