Abstract: The Generalized Barycentric Coordinates (GBC) plot is often used to visualize high-dimensional data in 2D. However, its mapping is not overly accurate in some cases. We propose an algorithm that adjusts the GBC layout as well as the data points inside the GBC. It consists of ordering the variables by a correlation-based method and an iterative error-reduction scheme. We provide two examples to evaluate our method, quantitatively and qualitatively.
