Extract from an home video filmed with a BlackMagic Pocket Cinema Camera (details are in the video).
It has been some time since I shot RAW and I was surprised by the sharpness... Although there is a bit more aliasing than Prores I think I might shoot RAW more often in the future.
Since the appearance of Magic Bullet, I have always seen grading presets in a bad way. For me, it was more destroying than embellishing the image, and since that time I always put some distance between me and those things. But since we have the ability to shoot in RAW or with 10/12 bits codecs, I started to find LUTs more attractive.
When I started using Resolve, I really liked the fact that you can adjust the opacity of any node : and that's what convince me to start using LUTs recently. I bought the Vision Color's Osiris LUTs package, and here is my first try with a recent home video shot handheld (without seeing the screen) for the part where the girl is running, and with a shoulder rig for the rest.
I definitely need to test it more, but I am pleased by the result so far.
