We rescued and cooked 130kg of unwanted vegetables to serve over 300 people.
Disco Veggie is the first Slow Food Youth Network Tokyo's effort of the series of Disco Soups that have been taking place all over the world.
Disco Soup is a culinary and musical act of protest that sees young and old people coming together in public places to chop vegetables that would otherwise have been wasted. Soups and salads are then prepared and distributed for free to the general public; often in huge quantities, always to music.
