As the UX/UI lead, I worked with a small team of iOS developers to create this game for children ages 3–6. The goal was to teach word and character recognition to children using gestures, visuals and auditory cues in a fun and engaging way.
The gameplay is simple: Spell 3–5 letter words and win a prize. You dig for letters in the sand with help of a friendly crustacean named Crabby. He informs you which letters to dig for, similar to how a parent or teacher would encourage a child. One-by-one, each letter is uncovered. You drag it to the top to spell the word and each completed word results in a prize. The child is encouraged to collect all the prizes to reveal the big secret (hint: it's about Crabby).
