Diploma Project completed at the National Institute of Design, 2014.
This project was born out of the turmoil following the infamous December 2012 Delhi rape. It sought to understand the mundaneness of masculinity and why it is so invisible when compared with femininity. When there was so much talk about how women ought to behave, where they ought not to go and how they ought to dress, why was no one asking how men could behave the way they do? What constitutes a typical Indian Masculinity? How can you address men about their masculinity and ask them to critically consider it's roots and implications?
A multimodal, interactive, meditative installation art experience that place the (male) user in a position from where they can unravel contextual aspects of their masculine identity and discover certain adverse affects of the same on themselves as well as the women in their lives. "
