It was truly a joy and honor to be able to capture this beautiful lakeside wedding of Marco and Lizzie. This fashionable couple exchanged their heartfelt vows underneath two gorgeous hanging trees encircled by the blessings of their friends and family. It was so fun to capture their pure excitement for each other unfold throughout the day.
When we first grabbed drinks with these two to chat details about their wedding, they were so excited to tell us about the unique and very thought-out details for their day – starting with the fact that their ceremony seating was going to be shaped into a circle. This unique arrangement allowed for a very intimate feel to their wedding, not only because of the fact that their guests were able to be seated closer for better viewing, but because of the fact that they were literally surrounded by the blessings of their closest friends and family during one of the biggest moments of their lives. We LOVED this and feel that it really made for such a unique, intimate, and amazing ceremony! As we talked a little more about the details of their day, Lizzie couldn’t stress enough that she wanted this wedding to feel very personal for each of the guests. You should pause the video at 4:47 to see what she was talking about here. Every single escort card had a personal note on them! (For instance, Josh Butler of the Florida rock band Between The Trees, had his card mentioned "I thought you would like us getting married 'between the trees'".) The mercury glass centerpieces were created by Lizzie. The small wooden riser that they stood on in the center of the ceremony was created by Marco in our garage. You guys, I could go on and on about all of the special details that they had for this day!
You may also see a familiar face among the groomsmen! That’s our very own Calen! We’re so glad to have our trusted friend Seth Dunlap from Ivory and Iron help out with capturing footage from the day so that Calen was able to stand alongside one of his best friends on his wedding day. Calen was still able to step away during the beauty shots to help capture some amazing aerial footage of the couple and beautiful lakeside scenery while the sun was setting.
