This is the most recent version of my reel, v1.1. This version will be updated periodically until I decide to redo it entirely.
1)“Rhino Rig” February 2010 Model used was the Autodesk Zbrush rhino. Realistic quadruped rig with a full body muscle system built using Maya Muscle. Complete IKFK legs, neck, spine, and tail, as well as a full facial UI.
2) “Biped Rig” March 2009
Model by Shane Finley. A demonstration of more advanced or specific rigging features, such as stretch, bend, and IK to FK matching. This was a technical challenge completed to learn more about cartoony style rigging and being able to reference a rig with scripts running on it. IK to FK match script written in MEL.
3)“Rubiks Cube Rig” February 2009
Modeled and wrote a MEL script for a fully functional Rubiks cube, done completely in Maya 2008. The script allows for animation of the Rubiks cube. This was a technical challenge completed to expand my knowledge of MEL.
4)“Stitch Head Turnaround” February 2009
An animated turnaround drawn by hand, cell by cell. Each cell was drawn in openCanvas 4.5, and was put together and cleaned up in Flash CS3. This was done to demonstrate the understanding of how an object moves and turns in space.
5)“Life Drawing” November 2008 - December 2009 Sketches from various classes, life drawing sessions, and workshops. Done using China marker on smooth newsprint, sessions range from one to five minutes. Anatomical studies and the understanding of motion.
