Artistic Director Ajay Chhabra visits Gunnersbury Park ahead of the London Mela 2014 on Sunday 31 August. The celebration of South Asian culture transforms the park into a global village of music, food, celebration and performance, including Nutkhut’s interactive show Navrattan and intergalactic time-traveller Swyron
Over 80,000 people enjoyed last year’s creative triumph and this year the festival is set to be even bigger and better than ever with nine zones. This free, family-friendly event is produced by Ealing and Hounslow Councils and supported by the Mayor of London, with BBC Asian Network a major partner for the 9th successive year.
Featuring a huge variety of artists from around the world as well as a plethora of homegrown acts, the London Mela truly has something for everyone
