Rain stops play on Day Three at the Trans-Savoie. Freezing cold temperatures and lift closures mean for the safety of the riders all timed stages were ridden off the clock. Sadly the highest pass of the race had to be removed from the itinerary - 2800m altitude with high winds and sub-zero temperatures was too dangerous, even for the hardly souls that have come to test themselves against the hardest the Alps could throw at them. Today it was very much a day of Mother nature One, Enduro riders, Nil!
Normal service is resumed tomorrow, but it doesn't mean the racers still didn't have fun riding in trains down super-steep sketchy trails. This is the spirit of the event - smiles fun, and camaraderie even in the face of adversity!
