The Sheriff's Department is teaming up with the United African American Ministerial Action Council (UAAMAC) to get unwanted weapons off our streets.

$100 for hand guns, rifles and shot guns
$200 for assault weapons
Limit one gift card per person
The Sheriff's Department is using asset forfeiture funds to purchase $15,000 worth of gift cards for the Guns For Gift Cards event. Since the collaboration started five years ago, 1,012 weapons and ammunition have been taken off the streets of San Diego County.
Anyone participating should place the unloaded firearms in the trunk of their cars. Uniformed deputies and police officers will give instructions at the location. All weapons collected will be destroyed.
