Asia Traiditional Orchestra ‘Homeland Lullaby’
In commemoration of the 30th anniversary of Korea-Vietnam diplomatic relations, a music video of Asia Traditional Orchestra’s new Vietnam song ‘Homland Lullaby’, will be presented.
'Homeland Lullaby' (Lời ru Quê hương) is composed by Nguyen Hong Thai (Nguyễn Hồng Thái), he presented the piece by developing the materials of Southern folk music of Vietnam with use of using the unique features of the Dan Bau and the Traditional Orchestra abundantly.
The composer viewed a mother’s lullaby as a source of strength and courage that holds a special place in a child’s heart and helps them overcome obstacles in later life. He hoped the song would resonate with the Vietnamese people by reconnecting them to childhood memories.
‘Homeland Lullaby’ has been rearranged for the Asia Traditional Orchestra (ATO) consisting of traditional musical instruments from Korea and 10 ASEAN countries, with rich melodies played in perfect harmony.
The song’s music video was produced to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Vietnam. It captures beautiful sceneries and major attractions in both countries and how they change over time against a delicate orchestral backdrop.
Cross-cut images of the two countries embody the concept of ‘One Asia’ and hope for the future of bilateral ties and exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, with the end of the pandemic now in sight.
