Distilled from a shoot at Martin's Tap in New Berlin, Wisconsin, where I went as part iof my Polka Heartland project. (Polka Heartland comes out next year, published by the Wisconsin History Press.) The musicians are Tony and Gunter Langeweg, a father and son duo. They are part of a jam session that John Martin hosted to honor the beloved Concertina Mille, a local legend, now 93. My colleague Rick March, co-author of Polka Heartland, made the recording.
