Moving Upstream is a short film that follows one women on a journey through the Wyoming winter as she struggles with a backpack nearly as big as she. She fights the cold, the snow, loses her map and soon finds that the best option is often ditching your baggage and taking the path less traveled. Francesca Romo’s physical performance of this struggle is reminiscent of Chaplin and boasts an unexpected amount of grace and a witty sense of humor, the original score echoes the Chaplinesque theme. This is the eighth film Hole Dance Films has produced.
