From the multimedia interactives of the Vault of the Secret Formula exhibit to the Taste It! beverage lounge, where more than 100 soft drink flavors from around the world are available to sample, the World of Coca-Cola offers guests of all ages a variety of ways to celebrate the famous brand. The Explorer mobile app acts as a companion to a visit to the space: guests use their phones to access additional activities, engage more deeply with the company’s products and history, and create digital souvenirs to enjoy long after they’ve left the building.
Relying on iBeacon technology strategically placed throughout the space, the app senses a visitor’s location and responds with content to complement what they’re seeing. Four interactive photo experiences let guests become a part of the Coca-Cola story themselves; they can create and send custom images and digital postcards to friends and family or upload them using social media. The app also surfaces “fun facts” related to the exhibitry and lets guests track and share with others their favorite flavors from the Taste It! area.
Leveraging innovative technology to enhance the visitor experience, the Explorer app makes a trip to the World of Coca-Cola more immersive, more educational, more shareable, and—most importantly—more fun.
