Accord Project Tech WG – 2025-02-26 – De Combine SLC Runtime & Playground Performance

Recording of the Accord Project Technology Working Group meeting on 26 February 2025.

Topics covered:
• Tim presented De Combine, a Go-based smart legal contract (SLC) runtime using UML state machines and NATS/CloudEvents for event-driven state transitions, with planned Concerto model integration.
• The group discussed potential alignment between De Combine's state and policy model and the existing Accord Project App Specification, including trigger/response patterns and obligation types.
• Mahesh demonstrated Monaco editor performance improvements for the template playground, including lazy loading and a Rollup bundle visualizer, boosting GT Metrics performance from 28% to 58%.
• A feature request (raised by Sanket) was reviewed to allow multiple decorators per target in the decorator command set, replacing the current one-decorator-per-target limitation.
• A new contributor's pull request adding Docker support to the template engine was discussed, with Tim and Nick confirming Docker is useful for their workflows.
• The group noted a pending Google Summer of Code acceptance decision to be announced at the following day's TSC call.
