A fun little video where myself and Ivan, the driver in the video, just decided to take the CowTV car out for a final spin at the end of the 2005 season before it was gone forever.
We just planned to shoot something of the car driving around and eventually turned it into a music video send off. The video is named as Goodbye Cow Car, but just before the screening during one of our live studio nights someone called it 'Goodbye Beef Pie' - a joking reference to the famous New Zealand road film 'Goodbye Pork Pie' - which then stuck.
The camera used for the shoot was a Canon XL1s, which had a problem with it's focus at the time I used it.. this somewhat ended up adding to the music video style of the shoot. I edited this in an hour or two when I got back from the shoot and it screened that night.
The music behind it is 'Drop D' by New Zealand band Betchadupa and appeared on their full length debut album, The Alphabetchadupa.
Please excuse the mixed quality of the material, it comes from various archives. 4:3 converted to 16:9.
