A concept in editing in regards to time with music, fitting visual concepts in with editing styles (speed of music, visual symbols, etc.) from hours of footage.
On the 26th of September 2006 I strapped a DV Camera into the front dashboard of my car and proceeded to drive around the city of Dunedin, New Zealand and just record the flow of traffic and roads throughout the city for a few hours.
Once home that night I decided to play with the material to create a visual piece edited to the flow of music. Track selected and cut that night. I never had any specific intention with the footage, other than originally putting it up online. However it ended up being used as a filler for play out at Channel 9 for a short time afterwards.
I believe the music comes from production music library and is used with no intent for profit. 4:3 converted to 16:9.
