In 2007 I was commissioned to make new work in response to the Foundling Museum,
London. The project took on a life of its own as I decided to take on the three main
protagonists in the history of the museum, Coram, Handel and Hogarth. Works
included a 'lollipop stick opera', built around Handel’s Foundling Anthem. Accompanying
this was a lenticular portrait of The Foundling's current governors recalling Hogarth’s
portraits. Finally in a diary a small act of charity intended to rival Coram.

This is an opera loosely constructed around the history of the set up of the foundling
museum, it was originally set to Handel’s Foundling Anthem but now exists only as a
largely silent piece punctuated by a distant refrain played on a melodica.
