This piece a bit quirky and personal, a real-time manipulation (using Jitter) of a video clip I shot on my brother's front lawn in St. Paul, MN, last winter, just before I hopped on a plane to Kenya.
In this piece, I'm using some of the intermittent layering techniques I've developed in my videogame work over the years to make the moment captured in the original source video last forever.
This is a single channel rendering of a 24-channel video installation. Ideally, the piece should be shown on a bank of 24 video screens in a big, dark, empty space.
