In June 1997 our friend Barbro visited us from Sweden and we decided to go visit Cherokee, NC and Dollywood. Part two contains more of the tour of the Oconaluftee Indian Village and clips from Dollywood. I shot this with a handheld Sony PC7, one of the early pocket miniDV camcorders. Its hard to believe I shot this eleven years ago.
There was more footage, but I accidentally recorded over some of it. Happy I waited until now to edit the footage - computers and video editing software have come a long way since 1997... (not to mention cameras).
This was edited in Ulead VideoStudio Plus 11.5, captured as mpeg, rendered as mpeg, and then rerendered in Windows MovieMaker in the WMV format (different than that available in VideoStudio).
(Note: The white-haired lady in the video is my mother who passed away in Sept 2006 at the age of 89.)
