The 2014 Unseen Campaign is more than the traditional single image, visualising the various stages of award-winning Italian photographer Lorenzo Vitturi’s (b. 1980, Venice, Italy) work process.
Using the symbol of the eye to demonstrate the Unseen concept, Vitturi arranged found materials and organic produce into a sculpture, repeating a simple geometric pattern in different scales. The resulting photographs – several of which are available for purchase in limited edition at Unseen 2014 – document the different stages of the sculpture’s construction. The process was completed at Unseen 2014 when Vitturi translated the original sculpture into a large-scale installation on the festival grounds.
