Accord Project Tech WG – 2025-03-26 – AI Playground, Template Archive, APAP

Topics covered:
• Ahmed contributed a Concerto bug fix that prevents scalar type declarations from using names that conflict with built-in primitive types.
• Carla's open PR adds compatibility analysis rules for scalar declarations in Concerto, with group discussion on whether adding a default value constitutes a patch, minor, or major version change.
• David (GSoC alumni) presented an AI integration prototype for the template playground featuring HuggingFace and Gemini fallback models, editor-aware prompting, and a diff-based accept/reject UI; the group resolved that users must supply their own API keys via a settings dialogue.
• Dan outlined work-in-progress on template archive v0.25 to replace Ergo with TypeScript logic support, including on-the-fly TypeScript compilation in the template engine's new draft and trigger methods.
• Tim raised the current state of the APAP reference implementation and explored building a Go-based template mark parser using the Goldmark library, with next steps to be discussed offline with Dan.
• The GSoC application period was announced as open, with the group reminding contributors to submit proposals through the ideas list and Discord.
