Last year, I sent Nick Jaina an email asking if I could use his song, A Narrow Way, in my short movie, Nothing for Me. He said yes, and it worked out well. A few months later, Nick sent me an email asking if I could help him make a music video for a song on his upcoming album. I said yes, and it worked out well.
Here's the video for Sleep, Child, from the album A Bird in the Opera House. I directed, Eric Petrie shot, Matt Jacobs edited, and everyone did a fantastic job. See below for complete credits and thank yous.
If you don't know, Nick Jaina is an amazing Portland musician with an amazing band. Check them out next time they play live, and buy the album.
For the nerds: This video was shot entirely on a Canon 7D DSLR camera. Most of it was shot at 60 frames per second (for the slo-mo) at 720p. I highly recommend either the 7D or the newest version of the 5D for any no-budget videos you do. Editing was done with Final Cut Pro and color correction was done in Color. Forgive me for not knowing more about the editing process. You can click on Matt and ask him for more info.
