This is the first-ever mountain-bike helmet cam documenting the Mammoth Mountain Kamikaze Mountain Bike Downhill Race in 1988. The helmet cam was invented by Mark Schulze and consisted of a camera rigged onto a motorcycle helmet, attached by a cable to a VCR in a backpack. Primitive? You bet! This is technological pioneering in action. Historical mountain bike footage, unedited, in real time, as though you are descending on that mountain bike. Remember, these were the days of NO SHOCKS. Enjoy the downhill run. Helmet cam invented by Mark Schulze and worn by Jeff Detweiler. Edited by Patty Mooney, Crystal Pyramid Productions, crystalpyramid.com.
