Visual artist Erki De Vries and choreographer Benjamin Vandewalle share a fascination for everything to do with observation. The question of how we experience our surroundings and how that experience can influence the space itself was the starting point for their installation performance Birdwatching. In Birdwatching the members of the audience are immersed in a sensory universe of constant change. Dancer, space and audience become part of a choreography that constantly redefines their mutual relationship. Each member of the audience is challenged to explore the boundaries of their own experience from a very personal perspective.
