Short Synopsis 

Au contact des culturistes du Boa Gym, un jeune moine renoue avec la puissance de son enveloppe charnelle et entreprend une transformation radicale.

When a young monk comes into contact with the bodybuilders of the Boa Gym, he reconnects to the power of his physical form, sparking a radical transformation.

Long Synopsis 

Zosime le patriarche va mourir et Léonide, le plus jeune moine de sa communauté, y voit l'augure de leur funeste destin. Profondément ébranlé et forcé de s'aventurer dans la ville, Léonide y découvre une confrérie d'un tout autre ordre que la sienne : les culturistes du Boa Gym. Convaincu qu'il est appelé à sauver sa congrégation de leur propre faiblesse, Léonide redécouvre la puissance de son enveloppe charnelle et entreprend une transformation radicale. 

Zosimus the patriarch is about to die and Leonidas, the youngest monk in his community, sees in it as an omen of their grim faith. Deeply shaken and forced to venture into the city, Leonidas discovers a brotherhood of an entirely different order than his own: the bodybuilders of the Boa Gym. Convinced that he is destined to save his congregation from their own weakness, Leonidas rediscovers the power of his physical body and begins a radical transformation.

Bio

Né dans le Québec rural, Dostie est un artiste autodidacte au parcours unique. Ses courts métrages, Mutants (2016) et Je finirai en prison (2019), ont été salués par la critique et le jury de festivals du monde entier, dont Sundance, Clermont-Ferrand et TIFF. Dostie travaille actuellement sur son premier long métrage.

Born in rural Quebec, Dostie is a self-taught artist with a unique background. His short films, Mutants (2016) and I'll End Up in Jail (2019), gathered critics and jury’s recognition in festivals around the world, including Sundance, Clermont-Ferrand and TIFF. Dostie is currently working on his first feature film.
