A short video featuring the Schwebebahn – the suspended overhead railway – in Wuppertal, Germany. Now with quite modern rolling stock (is that what it's called on an overhead railway?) the Schwebebahn has been running since 1901, and is still an essential part of Wuppertal's transport system, carrying some 85,000 passengers a day. Much of the route is built over the river. Video shot on a Nikon D800, much of it sadly on a dull day.
