THE ANIMALS is a contemporary love story set in the parallel universe of Hollywood’s party scene, where a group of socialites live alongside each other in a symbiotic relationship. Luigi a small time gangster comes out of jail, must choose between a new start and a past that holds him bound. Trying to escape the inevitable, he soon finds himself at the center of a conflict he hoped to avoid, fighting not just for his soul but for his very survival. A portrait of a generation at odd with it self The Animals tells a story about the disintegration of a community as looses it’s innocence trying to re-establish a new internal order.
Shot over a period of three years with a small ensemble cast, The Animals is an ultra low budget experimental feature film that blurs the lines between documentary and narrative filmmaking.
