Outside my double glazed office window there is a constant noisy stream of traffic driving to and from the city. We are take little notice of the sounds of ambulance, police and fire engine sirens as we are close to a hospital and between two significant roundabouts.
So it was only the unusual cloud of white smoke across the window that made us look up and out. And there across the road was an accident, most unusual for this 50 mph speed limited road.
The police were there and the driver no longer in the car by the time we saw it. But one by one the other services arrived, paramedic, ambulance and fire brigade. All in quick succession.
The fire brigade pulled the car off the railings it's front was jammed into, and when the tow truck arrived the car was hauled onto it on it's roof.
