Smither Park is a green space in Houston characterized by a 100 yard long memory wall that is divided into 50+ different panels that are covered in vibrant mosaic. Each individual panel is worked on by different artists that are required to make 3D mosaic that comes off the wall. I shot this documentary over a period of 6 weeks through September and October of 2014.

Smither Park Description: Smither Park is coming to life on a half-acre of land adjacent to the Orange Show Monument. Designed by visionary artist and builder Dan Phillips, the park is in memory of John H. Smither, a long-time supporter and collector of folk art and former board member of the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art. Inspired by the aesthetics and philosophy of the Orange Show, Smither Park will be a testimony to the vibrancy and creativity of the city of Houston.
