We consider the next large step forward in the history of redemption: the overthrow of Babylon and the return of God's people to the land of promise. We see:
*How the Lord moved the hearts of kings to assist His people when they were helpless and threatened, and
*That the return to rebuild the temple is a picture of what Christ would do in leading His people from bondage in the world to liberty and to Heaven, and in building the true temple of God - the Church.
The Lord always does what He has planned, and nothing can stand in His way. Therefore, whatever situation believers find themselves in, they should never be afraid, but trust Him. Unbelievers, though, have every reason to be afraid of Him, Who is their enemy and will be their Judge unless they will come to Christ for salvation.
