The story of a team of International Citizen Service volunteers working in Lafia, Nigeria between October and December 2013. The main theme of our programme was to secure and enhance the livelihoods of rural villagers by teaching sustainable farming methods and skills vital for running a business such as book-keeping. Other areas the team focussed on included raising awareness of child abuse, encouraging parents to send their children to school, HIV testing/counselling, building projects and access to clean water.
